We drove out to Ampang this morning. Back in '92 a drive from downtown to Ampang would have at least taken 20 minutes with no traffic, with traffic, it could be an hour. But on the new elevate highway it only took 10 minutes. The exit dropped us right in front of ISKL. We drove over to our old neighborhood of Tamen Hijau where the house with the big iron gate was located. Our property manager and friend, Joanne Mahendren lives nearby. We caught up on gossip and then drove over to our house, along the new (for us!) Ulu Klang highway. The house looked fine. We took down the phone numbers of agents selling nearby to get some comps.

Meg returned to the Buzzy Bee
We dropped Joanne off and drove around some of our old haunts. We showed Andy were we first lived and the "Club", the KDE. The growth of trees made the club difficult to see from the road. We drove our old walking circuit and found a large troop of Macaques. Then we drove over to Meg's first school, the Buzzy Bee. It was still there, but it was "dumb luck" that we found it.

We went to Winnie's for haircuts. She remembered us! It was like we still lived in KL.
